Company Overview Ecosys is an independent not-for-profit environmental consultancy, established in 1998 in Brighton. We provide a comprehensive range of services, primarily to small-medium businesses and local authorities. We help our clients to achieve costs savings, resource conservation and increased efficiency, in conjunction with improvements in environmental performance. East Sussex Sustainable Eco-Enterprise Project – Ecosys is the East Sussex partner in a joint EU funded trans-frontier project with Kent and Nord Pas de Calais to develop networking and markets for eco-enterprises. Activities include: Mapping and profiling existing eco-enterprises; Support and business advice to eco-enterprises; Networking events and marketing opportunities. The project focuses on the construction, waste and renewable energy sectors, but also includes general eco-enterprises. A Directory of East Sussex Sustainable Eco-Enterprises and support organisations has been producedSouth East Mass Balance Programme “Taking Stock” – Ecosys led a group of partners to carry out a ‘mass balance’ and ecological footprint analysis of the South East, using £250k landfill tax funding from Biffaward. This was an analysis of the flows of all the resources into and out of the southeast region (SEEDA region), and a full ecological footprint analysis. See www.takingstock.org for results and information. egeneration sustainable business website Ecosys worked with partners across the South East to deliver this project, which developed 8 local action websites linked to a regional learning centre.
